  126. The installation procedure for MWAR - MEDLIN WINDOWS ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE
  127. & INVOICING is quite simple.  The disk package includes a program,
  128. "SETUP.EXE", which automates the entire process.  MWAR requires less than
  129. 1/2 megabyte of disk space.  The program requires no changes to any
  130. existing files on your hard disk.
  131.  
  132. The file VBRUN300.DLL must be in your Windows\System directory for MWAR
  133. to run.  It is not included in this .ZIP file to shorten your download
  134. time.  If you do not have a copy of VBRUN300.DLL, it should be available
  135. from the same source you downloaded MWAR.  VBRUN300.DLL is a "library"
  136. file that is shared by windows programs.  You only need one copy, no
  137. matter how many of your programs use it.

  139. INSTALLING FROM DISKETTES
  140.  
  141. To install from diskette, you need to perform the following steps.
  142.  
  143.    o  Place MWAR distribution diskette in the appropriate diskette drive.
  144.    Start Windows.
  145.  
  146.    o  Execute the "SETUP.EXE" program on the distribution diskette. For
  147.    Windows 3.x, either by choose File/Run from the Program Manager or by
  148.    double click on SETUP.EXE from the File Manager.  For Windows 95, use
  149.    Start, Run.
  150.  
  151.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program. The
  152.    program will ask you for a destination directory, and will copy the
  153.    MWAR files to that directory.  If you so direct it, the installation
  154.    program will install executable programs and documentation in other
  155.    directories of your choice.  It will not modify your autoexec.bat or
  156.    config.sys files or any Windows files.

  160. INSTALLING FROM A ZIP FILE
  161.  
  162. If you downloaded MWAR from a BBS (or received it in the form of zipped
  163. files from some other source), perform the following steps.
  164.  
  165.    o  Use the File Manager/Explorer or drop to DOS to create a temporary
  166.    directory on your hard drive. Change directory into the new directory.
  167.  
  168.    o  Run the unzip program by typing PKUNZIP MWAR*.ZIP from the DOS
  169.    prompt or from the File/Run section of Program Manager.
  170.  
  171.    o  Run the Setup program directly from File Manager/Explorer or
  172.    Program Manager. You must have a copy of VBRUN300.DLL in your Windows
  173.    System directory for the MWAR program to run.  Chances are you already
  174.    do. If not, you may download VBRUN300.DLL from any BBS.

  178. Once you've complete the installation, you should consult the help file
  179. ("MWAR.HLP").  You may read the MWAR.HLP by double clicking it from the
  180. File Manager or by pressing F1 from inside MWAR or by choosing HELP from
  181. the MWAR menu bar.  The help file allows you to read the entire file
  182. sequentually by clicking the >> symbol.
